Study Abroad
Participation in study abroad programs in Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Italy (Lorenzo de Medici Institute or University of Georgia) and Spain provides an excellent opportunity to complete the European Studies minor. All courses offered at SLU study abroad programs in Europe count towards the minor (see Minor Requirements). Research undertaken abroad can also form the basis of the capstone requirement (SYE).
Every St. Lawrence study abroad program in Europe offers courses that may be counted toward the European Studies minor. For questions about the appropriateness of new courses or courses not listed, contact the coordinator.
ISEP
The International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) is a network of 275 colleges and universities in 39 countries cooperating to provide affordable access to international education for a diverse student population. ISEP students gain intercultural competence through integration into their host institution and host culture while exploring the international dimensions of their academic field.
In addition to St. Lawrence’s study abroad programs, ISEP offers opportunities to study abroad in many European countries. Consult with the European Studies coordinator about the appropriateness of specific courses on these programs for the European Studies minor.
