Observing at AO - Nov. 2006
Jamie Lomax '07 accompanied SLU astronomers Dr. Aileen O'Donoghue and Jeffrey Miller to the Arecibo Observatory for 4 nights of observing between November 22 and 25, 2006. We traveled with Colgate University astronomer Dr. Tom Balonek, an experienced observer at Arecibo, so that he could show us the procedure. We had a great observing run, explored the observatory from top to bottom, and enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast of white bread and turkey cold-cuts.
