Observing at AO - Nov. 2015

Evan Smith '16 accompanied SLU astronomer Dr. Aileen O'Donoghue to the Arecibo Observatory for 3 nights of observing between November 23 and 26, 2015. Observing with Dr. O'Donoghue and Evan were Dr. Greg Hallenbeck, Ryan Muther and Kamin Sylvia from Union College. During their time at the observatory, they toured the facilities and became proficient observing using the L-Band Wide (LBW) instrument on the telescope to examine galaxies and other interesting objects discovered during the ALFALFA survey.
