UAT Workshop 2013
The sixth NSF-sponsored Undergraduate ALFALFA Workshop was held at the Arecibo Observatory on January 13 - 16, 2013. The Workshop is part of the NSF-sponsored Undergraduate ALFALFA Team program to promote undergraduate research within the ALFALFA project. Attendees are given tours of the telescope, and operate it during observing runs. The Workshop was attended by 20 students and their faculty mentors from 15 undergraduate institutions. Steven Goldman '13 attended with SLU astronomers Aileen O'Donoghue and Jeffrey Miller. Steve gave a talk based upon his senior research project: "The Zwicky Cluster 1400+0949".
