UAT Workshop 2018

SLU astronomer Dr. Aileen O'Donoghue attended the 11th Undergraduate ALFALFA Workshop at the Green Bank Observatory from June 19 - 23, 2018. Also attending the workshop was SLU alum Evan Smith '16, who is now in the Ph.D. program in physics at West Virginia University. They attended talks, worked in and presented the results of group projects, and had the opportunity to observe with the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope, the world's largest fully steerable single aperture antenna. Evan is an experienced observer, and guided the attending faculty and students in the observing process.
