Request Funding

Through generous donors, St. Lawrence may assist students when unexpected situations arise, and financial support is needed. These situations may range from clothing needs, travel due to family emergencies, medical expenses, and academic materials.

Prior to approval, all requests require a meeting with the Associate Dean to get more context for the situation, then review by a committee, and the decision is communicated to the student. If funding is granted, the process for receiving the funds may take 2-14 days, and the student is given instructions for follow-up.

Please note that we have limited funds with restrictive use, therefore not all requests will be granted, and some may only receive funding in part. Students should know this may be considered taxable income by the IRS however we are not able to provide advice on that.
