Christopher Lenney

Award-winning photojournalist Christopher Lenney joined the University Communications team in May 2024. His career as a visual storyteller spans over three decades and has taken him to staff positions at daily newspapers and in higher education. His talents in both photography and videography extend to a variety of genres, including documentary, news, public relations, portraiture, and sports. He has been recognized for his work individually and as part of a team, receiving awards from organizations such as the New York Newspaper Publishers Association, New York State Associated Press Association, and National Press Photographers Association. Christopher enjoys staying current with digital media trends, is a licensed drone pilot, and has an Advanced Open Water SCUBA certification.

Chris is a native of Potsdam, New York, and has a bachelor of arts degree in photography from SUNY Potsdam, as well as an associate's degree from Cazenovia College.
