Hands-On Culinary Journey: Exploring Middle Eastern Flavors in Prof. El Khoury’s Class
In Prof. Gisele El Khoury’s class, “Cook, Eat, and Tell… Food from the Arab World and the Middle East,” students had a hands-on experience making Manakish (a beloved Middle Eastern breakfast). They enjoyed sampling a variety of Mezza and sweets and exploring the region’s unique flavors. They even prepared and tasted four distinct types of coffee and tea, each with its own cultural significance.
