Free demo - Sakai replacement options
October 06, 2021
Hello St. Lawrence,
The formal Request For Proposal (RFP) was distributed to our two recommended vendors yesterday! I am so excited to share this with you all!
- Campus presentations are scheduled
- Presentation outlines have been shared with the vendors
- The vendors will present on the same material
- This allows for an apples to apples comparison
- This part should last 60 minutes
- The final 30 minutes will be Q&A
- Presentations will be recorded (so tough to schedule available times)
- Recordings will be made available in the Sakai Teaching On-Line site
- The vendors will present on the same material
- Survey
- Following the presentations a survey will be distributed for feedback, please take a moment to share your thoughts
If you are just tuning in or if you have more questions about the process -- why we are moving off Sakai or just what the heck is going on – visit the LMS transition page where all those questions are addressed.
This is exciting and stressful all at the same time, however I am grateful for the work of last year’s tripartite committees -- Educational Technology (ETC) and Faculty Development (FDC) -- for getting the university down to two vendors to select from. AND, kudos to the current ETC/FDC and selection subcommittee for the important work you will be doing to help St. Lawrence make a LMS selection over the next 8 weeks.
Smiles and laughter,
R
