Workshops and Trainings
The Office for Diversity and Inclusion has developed workshops and trainings to raise cultural awareness for members of the community. They include:
Raising Cultural Awareness 101 – an 8-week certificate course for faculty and staff
New Student Orientation – a mandatory 2-hour segment on social identity, diversity, and inclusion
New Employee Orientation – an hour-long module introducing new employees to diversity and inclusion
Microaggressions Workshop – an hour-long workshop introducing the concept of microaggressions and how to avoid them
Theater of the Oppressed – an interactive program in which students explore ways to intervene when confronted with oppressive behaviors and attitude
Conversation about Conflict – an interactive workshop in which students explore ways to navigate through conflict in positive ways
