SLU Engineering Major Requirements

In the Spring of their second year, engineering students must choose a major at St. Lawrence. The most common options are Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Bio-PhysicsComputer ScienceEconomics, and Biology are also options. In general a student completes three years of the major as defined by the major's department and will receive their St. Lawrence degree after they complete their engineering degree.

At the time they declare their major engineering students will also choose a second adviser from their major department.

While it is possible to major in a field other than Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics it requires careful planning. Practically though it can be very difficult to manage and is not advisable.
