UAT Workshop 2011
The fourth NSF-sponsored Undergraduate ALFALFA Workshop was held at the Arecibo Observatory on January 16 - 19, 2011. The Workshop is part of the NSF-sponsored Undergraduate ALFALFA Team program to promote undergraduate research within the ALFALFA project. Attendees are given tours of the telescope, and operate it during observing runs. The Workshop was attended by 32 students and their faculty mentors from 14 undergraduate institutions. Heather Cutler '12 was fortunate to travel to Arecibo for a second time with SLU astronomers Dr. Aileen O'Donoghue and Jeffrey Miller.
