    Construction is underway on the donor-funded Appleton Arena George W. Karpus ’68 Athletic Center with plans to open in September 2024. The project will be completed as phase two of the Appleton Arena project, and $11.3 million in gifts and pledges have been raised so far.

    The Frederic Remington Art Museum is pleased to invite student artists at Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, SUNY Plattsburgh, and SUNY Potsdam to submit entries to the 2024 College Student Juried Art Exhibit. Artworks in all visual media using any combination of materials and techniques are welcome. Accepted artworks will be displayed in the Richard E. Winter Gallery and the Torrey Family Gallery at the Frederic Remington Art Museum and online at fredericremington.org.

  7. St. Lawrence Awards Fall 2018 Innovation Grants

    St. Lawrence University announced the Fall 2018 Innovation Grant award recipients, which include purchasing glasses to correct color vision deficiency, chargers for students’ electronic devices, mental health events that take place outside the Counseling Center, alternative alcohol-free first Saturday events, interpretive signage at building entrances, and bat boxes.

    St. Lawrence University announced the Spring 2017 Innovation Grant award recipients, which include teaching about fire safety, improving energy efficiency and safety in theme cottages, enhancing student music performance space, training for website accessibility strategies, and understanding new opportunities for student and regional community engagement are the concepts that the committee found to be most well designed and innovative from among the dozen proposals.

    St. Lawrence Students Win Grant to Address Hunger in Canton

    St. Lawrence University was one of five colleges in the national Campus Kitchens network that will receive $3,000 to address rural hunger in their community. The sub-grants totaling $15,000 are sponsored by Denver, Colorado-based CoBank.
