Donor Appreciation Program
Gift Aid is made possible through the generosity and philanthropy of St. Lawrence alumni, parents and friends as well as corporations and foundations. These benefactors have a strong belief in the importance of a St. Lawrence education for a student's future success. Many of these scholarships are made to honor a family member, classmate, mentor, friend, or faculty/staff member. By helping deserving students pay for their college education, the Laurentian legacy continues to live on.
By showing appreciation, you demonstrate that you are the kind of student they can be proud to support. The Donor Relations office works with students who have received endowed support in two ways: sending a thank you letter and also sending a collective thank you video. The Offices of Laurentian Engagement and Annual Giving, in partnership with the Student Alumni Association, also host “ThankSLU” thank you note writing events each semester that are open to everyone to show an attitude of gratitude!
Start Here: The Donor Appreciation Process
All students who receive funds from a donor-funded scholarship or grant are asked to write a thank you letter to the donor(s) and/or supporter(s) of the scholarship. For those new to the online thank you process, this is a guide to help you with the how’s and why’s of the program and will take you through the process. Don’t worry – the process isn’t a long one! Showing your appreciation should take only 10-30 minutes.
