Population Surveyed:   Graduating Seniors

Instrument Type:  National - HEDS Senior Survey (till 2011),  HERI CSS (2012-2021), HEDS Graduating Student Survey since 2022

Every year upon graduation, Students are asked to reflect on their undergraduate education. St. Lawrence participated in the HEDS Senior Survey from 1990 through 2011, shifted to administering the HERI College Senior Survey till 2021 and has used the HEDS Graduating Student Survey since 2022.  Note that St. Lawrence did not administer a senior survey during the COVID19 pandemic in spring 2020.

Questions in all survey instruments explore the impact of college on academic outcomes and personal development. They also explore students' levels of satisfaction with various aspects of learning and future career and graduate school plans of graduating seniors.
